Fall Update Highlights
Minecraft Education Edition released its 2026 fall update with two major modules: 1) Chemistry simulation — using the element constructor, compound creator, and lab table, students can run acid-base neutralization and redox experiments in-game, paired with a new chemistry question bank. 2) Python courses — control blocks, redstone, and entities via the Code Builder, with 20 step-by-step new lessons.
Teacher Tools Upgraded
The classroom management suite got upgrades: teachers can view a real-time student progress dashboard, distribute tasks and homework with one click, and generate learning reports. A new 'Classroom Mode' lets teachers freeze student devices or lock chat — especially useful for remote learning.
How to Get It Free
Schools with Office 365 Education accounts use it for free. Individuals can apply for a 30-day free trial on the education website. Chinese courses are synced, with localization provided by NetEase's Minecraft Education in China. Education Edition has surpassed 120 million users, making it one of the largest game-based learning platforms.
