Player Impact
The villager trade change is the biggest shift: farming specific enchanted books now requires finding villagers in specific biomes, not endlessly refreshing one trading hall. This significantly impacts trading hall strategies — stock up on enchanted books before the official 1.22.2 release. Snapshots are for testing, not main worlds.
How to Try the Snapshot
In the official launcher, create a new installation and enable snapshots to select 25w34a. Always test in a separate world: snapshots can corrupt saves, and snapshot worlds usually cannot be carried into the full release. To keep experimental features, toggle them per world at creation.
