Developer Interview
Chief designer Jens Bergensten addressed the fate of mob vote losers in a recent interview, stating the team is discussing how to naturally integrate previous losing candidates rather than directly adding them. Hinting some may already be planned for the next major update.
Most Wanted Lost Mobs
Top 5 community favorites: 1. Iceologer (2020, lost to Glow Squid). 2. Copper Golem (2021, lost to Allay). 3. Glare (2021, lost to Allay). 4. Moobloom (2020, lost to Glow Squid). 5. Vulture (2019, lost to Goat).
Return Probability
Precedent: Frogs (2019 swamp loser) added in 1.19. Archaeology (2020 loser) added in 1.20. Mojang has a track record of bringing back lost content. The Copper Golem has the highest return probability — it fits MC's automation theme perfectly and has the loudest community support.
