1.22 Cherry Update

1.22 optimized cherry groves: enhanced pink petal particles, increased tree density, new small lakes and waterfalls. Cherry wood = full pink plank/slab/fence set — Minecraft's most beautiful building wood.

Cherry Base Build Ideas

Cherry wood is among MC's prettiest building woods. Pair cherry planks + white concrete + glass for a cottage look; use cherry leaves as translucent screens; build a cherry-wood dock by the lake. Warm light from lanterns/campfires makes pink silhouettes at night. BSL shaders push it further.

Warning: Cherry saplings only grow from bone meal inside cherry groves — stock up saplings at spawn before you move base.

Version & Compatibility

Cherry groves arrived in 1.20; 1.21 and 1.22 terrain is stable. All five seeds tested on Java 1.22. On 1.19 or earlier you won't see any cherry terrain at all.

Warning: These seeds are Java-only. Bedrock has cherry groves too, but the same code yields different terrain — don't mix editions.
