Choosing the Right Tree
Half the treehouse is the tree. The species decides how big and tall you can build. Ranked by recommendation:
| Species | Trait | Pick |
|---|---|---|
| 2×2 jungle | 20–30 tall, thick canopy | ★ Best |
| Dark oak | Also 2×2, thinner leaves | Runner-up |
| Custom tree | Log + leaf canopy, hand-built | Full control |
Plan A: Basic Platform (Beginner)
At Y=75–85 (canopy core) build a 7–9 block round/polygon platform of oak planks around the trunk, fence railing, a 3×3 cabin on top, ladder down the trunk. Done in 15 minutes with bed+chest+furnace+crafting table — every survival need met.
Plan B: Multi-Level (Intermediate)
Platforms at different heights (5–8 apart) joined by wood bridges or vine ladders. Bottom (Y=75) storage+farm, middle (Y=83) living+enchanting, top (Y=91) observation+beacon. Travel between floors with a soul-sand bubble column (1×1 shaft in the trunk, soul sand at bottom, water on top) up, ladder/vines down.
Plan C: Epic Treehouse Village
Plant 3–5 jungle trees (10–12 apart) into a canopy cluster, link every platform with aerial bridges (oak+fences+chains), one function per tree — living, storage, enchanting, farm — and a main hall (15-block round platform) on the biggest central canopy. Carpet roads, lanterns both sides. The three plans compared:
| Plan | Difficulty | Core Structure | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic platform | Beginner | Single 7–9 canopy disc | Early-game foothold |
| Multi-level | Intermediate | Stacked platforms + bubble lift | Mid/long-term base |
| Treehouse village | Advanced | 3–5 canopies + sky bridges | Showcase / server landmark |
