Finale Night
The MC Summer Speedrun Fest finale delivered a new record: Illumina ran 6m52s in the decisive run, breaking CakeFrog's 6m58s from two weeks earlier and claiming his third WR reign. Fruitberries took second at 7m01s — the entire top ten finished under 7m15s, the most competitive final in history.
Run Breakdown
Illumina's winning run was a near-perfect world: cherry village + lava pool spawn (trading plus quick buckets), bastion adjacent to the portal, pearls in one piglin barter round, and all end crystals destroyed in 8 seconds. Only ~3 seconds lost in Nether navigation — casters called it 'the execution limit of the current version, with luck on top'.
Timeline & Outlook
The random-seed record has fallen three times in 2026, now on a near-weekly cadence. The next mental barrier — 6m50s — remains unbroken, with community forecasts pointing to 6m45s territory by year-end. CakeFrog immediately promised a counterattack: 'Records have no owner, only a temporary holder.'
