1.22 Peak Terrain Updates

1.22 refined jagged peaks: sharper summits, thicker snow layers, and a few new 'frost gully' transition zones. Mountains offer the best vertical sightlines in the game — from a Y=250 summit you can see plains villages 1000 blocks away. Goats, snow foxes and glow squid (in alpine lakes) round out a unique alpine ecology.

Warning: Feather Falling boots make climbing worry-free — falls are the #1 cause of death up here.

Climbing & Resource Route

① climb in switchbacks — straight-line steep routes are how people fall; ② coal and iron often sit just under the summit snow, grab them on the way; ③ seed #3 888100's base lush cave doubles as a mine and glow-berry entrance; ④ goats can't be tamed but can be leashed into pens — goat milk for cakes; ⑤ when 'mining under ice lakes', use Silk Touch on the ice or you'll flood the cave.

Warning: Powder snow buries and suffocates — probe depth with a torch first or wear leather boots to avoid sinking.

Cliff Base Designs

Three mountain-build schools: ① 'Summit Lighthouse' — a dark-oak + glass watchtower on the main peak, its beacon doubling as a map marker; ② 'Cliff Hangout' — tunnel horizontally into a vertical face with cantilevered fenced balconies; ③ 'Ice Lake Castle' — rebuild seed #4 alpinelake's island village into a snow-white castle with an ice-sculpture courtyard. Every alpine base's real priority is fall-proofing and powder-snow-proofing: double fences on all edges.

Warning: At Y=200+ lightning strikes matter — alpine storms are frequent, so put copper lightning rods on wooden roofs.
