Block Material List
For a 16×12 villa, here's a proportionally estimated bill of materials. Scale freely, but keep the 'white wall + gray contrast + wood roof + lots of glass' ratio — that's the root of the modern look.
| Material | Qty | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Stone bricks | ~200 | Foundation + border |
| Polished diorite | ~150 | Foundation trim |
| White concrete | ~300 | Main walls |
| Gray concrete | ~150 | Body + contrast |
| Quartz blocks | ~100 | Sills / trim lines |
| White stained glass | ~60 | Large picture windows |
| Light gray stained glass | ~40 | Side windows / dividers |
| Dark oak slabs | ~200 | Flat roof + eaves |
| Sea lanterns / end rods | some | Hidden lighting |
| Dark oak flooring | ~80 | Interior floor |
Build Steps
Step 1 (foundation): plan a 16×12 rectangle, stone brick floor, diorite border. Step 2 (walls): build the shell with brick/concrete — and remember the modern rule: NOT a cube! Push some wall segments out and pull others in for light-and-shadow depth. Window openings at least 2 blocks tall. Step 3 (windows): fill with white/gray stained glass; big glass is the soul of modern design. Step 4 (roof): dark oak slab flat roof (no triangle!), eaves extending 1–2 blocks. Step 5 (interior): dark oak floor + white walls, sea lanterns hidden in ceiling, quartz slab bar in kitchen, gray carpet zones in living room.
Interior Design Key Points
Minimal-but-not-simple is the core. Living room: L-shaped quartz slab sofa + gray carpet. Kitchen: inverted quartz slab bar, 'stove' = furnace + iron trapdoor. Bedroom: double bed, inverted quartz nightstand + flower pot. Bathroom: white walls + sea lantern, cauldron tub, trapdoor toilet. For full room recipes see our interior guide.
