Crafting Recipe

Two rows of 3 glass = 16 panes. Smelted from sand, panes stretch each glass 2.7x further than blocks — the only sensible choice for big windows.

Properties

Adjacent panes merge into seamless glass walls with ultra-thin frames; fully transparent with zero light loss. Mobs can't pass, and arrows stick out of them — nothing gets through in either direction.

Pro Tips

Use for windows, greenhouse roofs and aquarium walls. Stained-glass panes craft identically for colorful cathedral work. Panes are thin blocks — attachments like torches won't stick to their edges.
