Crafting Recipe

2 iron ingots (top+center) + 1 stick (bottom center) = 1 iron sword. 6 attack damage (3 hearts). The workhorse weapon: affordable, solid damage, decent durability (250 uses).

Early-to-Mid Workhorse

An iron sword deals 6 damage with 250 durability and 1.6 attack speed — the best value weapon. Its sweep attack knocks back several enemies at once, crucial when surrounded.

Enchants & Upgrades

Standard kit: Sharpness V (+3 damage), Knockback II, Looting III (double drops), Sweeping Edge III, Mending and Unbreaking III. Diamond deals 7 and Netherite 8, but a fully enchanted iron sword carries you through the mid game.
