1 diamond at each top corner + 3 across the middle + 3 across the bottom = 1 diamond chestplate. The priciest piece of the set at 8 diamonds.

Stats & Role

8 armor points (40% of a full set's 20) + 2 toughness, 528 durability. Armor points carry the most weight in damage reduction — the chestplate is always the first armor piece to craft (after the pickaxe).

Pro Tips

Enchants: Protection IV is the universal pick; Thorns is optional survival, near-mandatory PvP; Mending outranks everything. Netherite upgrade pushes durability to 592 without losing enchants.
