Lead ×2

Crafting Recipe

String at the four corners (top-left, top-right, mid-left, bottom-right) with 1 slimeball in the center = 2 leads. Slimeballs come from slimes in swamps or slime chunks.

What It Does

Leads attach to most passive mobs (cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, horses, wolves, cats) for dragging, and tie to fences to hold them. You can carry 5-10 at once (one mob each) — the only efficient way to mass-move animals to a farm, ten times faster than luring with tunnels.

Pro Tips

Craft 10 leads before hunting animals: drag them home and tie them to fence posts for breeding. Advanced: ride one horse while leading another (two-horse transport); iron golems are leashed too (villager-farm transport). Leads snap beyond ~10 blocks and are consumed when broken — string is cheap but not refundable.
