Village Layout

Central square/market at center, buildings radiating outward. Zones: central square (well+notice board), residential (5-8 cottages), farmland (wheat+cattle/sheep), commercial (blacksmith+bakery+stalls), public (church+guard tower+mill), defenses (fences+moat+watchtowers).

Warning: Medieval paths shouldn't be straight! Mix gravel+dirt for roads that look worn by use, not planned.

Unified Building Style

All buildings: stone brick foundation, oak log frame pillars, white wool/terracotta walls, spruce slab roofs, oak fence windows/railings. All roofs: A-frame 30-45 degree peak, spruce slabs stacked toward center, 1-block eaves with fence supports. Varying sizes, consistent style.

Details That Bring Villages to Life

1) Scarecrows (pumpkin head+fence+hay). 2) Anvil+furnace outside blacksmith. 3) Hay bales+item frames outside bakery. 4) Market stalls (quartz slab counter+item frame prices). 5) Different flowers at each house. 6) Lamp posts (fence+sea lantern+trapdoor frame) every 8-10 blocks. 7) Giant gate arch (4x6) at entrance.

Warning: Mix buildings at different stages — complete, construction, abandoned. Asymmetry gives historical authenticity.
